I’m a stay at home mum for 3 girls who seem like they’re always hungry. This recipe for chewy choc chip cookies is quite easy and they are soft chewy biscuits, which are the sort my girls like (and me). These cookies are perfect for school snacks or morning tea. They can be popped in the freezer for a readily available afternoon tea or for when visitors pop by unannounced.
Chewy choc chip cookies ingredients:
- 125gms butter
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla essence
- 1 egg
- 1¾ cups self raising flour
- 1 cup choc chips
Method:
Step 1. Cream butter and both sugars. Add vanilla and lightly beaten egg.
Step 2. Gradually add flour and mix to combine. Add choc chips and mix.
Step 3. Place a teaspoon of mixture on a lightly greases or lined tray approx. 5cm apart. Cook at 180 degrees for 15-17 mins. Allow to cool before removing from tray
