We don’t often have dessert at our house but it doesn’t stop my children asking for it almost every night! There are many healthy dessert options for kids and usually some berries and yoghurt or a bliss ball will do the trick.

For a more fun and even more delicious after dinner treat, this strawberry homemade icy pole recipe will be a big hit. We often have some in the freezer for after school on hot days or for when friends drop by for lunch.  A simple 4 ingredient healthy recipe that can be whipped up very quickly.

When making these strawberry icy poles the strawberries are interchangeable with blueberries, raspberries, mango or banana, frozen fruit can be an easy option.

My kids love this strawberry homemade icy pole recipe and I’m sure yours will too. The biggest challenge will be keeping up with their demand.

Strawberry Homemade Icy Poles

Makes 6-8 depending on the size of your icy-pole moulds.

Ingredients in Strawberry Homemade Icy Pole Recipe

  • 1 cup of coconut milk (additive free)
  • 1 cup of coconut water
  • 1 cup of washed, hulled and halved strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup

Method:

Step 1. Place all ingredients in a blender and whiz until well combined and creamy.

Step 2. Pour Smoothie into icy-pole moulds and place in the freezer until ready to eat.

Step 3. A delicious, healthy dessert couldn’t be easier!
