What goes in the stocking?<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><b><b> Who are your presents from? Santa, Mum and Dad or some from both?<\/b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Do you leave carrots, cookies &amp; milk for santa &amp; his reindeer? DD is 2.5 this year so want to really start a couple of traditions <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sack at tree presents unwrapped (kids get cluey about wrapping paper use ) wrapped presents from mum &amp; dad under tree. Thinking of buying mine a chissy decoration each year too.\u00a0\u00a0 <i>Jade<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><i>\u00a0<\/i>Carrots &amp; milk out put the pressies in the lounge. That way I can hear them before they start ripping into them.\u00a0\u00a0 <i>Danielle<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><i>\u00a0<\/i>I plan to do what my mother did with us. Cookies and milk left out for Santa and we used to make a little mixture of oats and glitter to sprinkle on the yard so the reindeer could find our house. Individually wrapped pressies under the tree as well as wrapped pressies in a sack just outside our bedroom door. Sometimes if we got big presents (like a bike) we would have to follow a piece of string from our room, around the house until we found our prize. Santa also uses a different wrapping paper to everyone else. Last year as it was very hot and milk might make him feel sick he got a zooper dooper and a bottle of wine to give to Mrs Clause. Will do more as he gets older such as movies and carols.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <i>Kai<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><i>\u00a0<\/i>We have Christmas traditions galore in our house The kids choose a new decoration every year (we started a birth although they didn&#8217;t choose then of course) that they feel is &#8216;them&#8217; that year, 12 nights before Christmas (including Christmas eve) we watch a Christmas movie\/tv show together before bed, we go to carols every year &#8211; when it comes to Christmas eve we do bikkies and mil for Santa, carrots for the reindeer, a special &#8216;key&#8217; for Santa (we don&#8217;t have a chimney), the kids put out their stockings (which Santa fills with a mixture of small wrapped pressies, unwrapped pressies and treats) and bigger pressies go wrapped under the tree unless they are larger items like bikes etc.\u00a0\u00a0 <i>Renee<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><i>\u00a0<\/i>Sack under tree.\u00a0\u00a0 <i>Bec<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><i>\u00a0<\/i>Santa presents are on a lounge in the lounge room unwrapped (that\u2019 was the best when I was a Little girl cause we could have a sneak peak early in the morning than went back to bed until we were allowed to wake mum and dad). Then with just a little stocking it\u2019s filled with lollies and little bits and pieces like hair bands ect. And we leave milk and cookies out for Santa.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <i>Carla<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><i>\u00a0<\/i>We wrap all presents individually and place them under the tree Christmas Eve after kids have gone to bed also leave a carrot out and take one bite for each reindeer and also have a glass of drink for Santa and a biscuit or whatever we have In the house at the time.\u00a0\u00a0 <i>Jessica<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><i>\u00a0<\/i>I leave a stocking at the end of my children\u2019s bed with a few small toys and some lollies. Then under the tree i have the other presents all individually wrapped. We usually make some cookies and leave a couple and a glass of milk out for Santa and a carrot for his reindeer to share.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <i>Laura<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><i>\u00a0<\/i>We leave presents under the tree coming up to Christmas and then on Christmas Eve Santa leaves unwrapped stuff in each of their stockings (usually he puts them on their chairs at the dining table because we have animals) he also sometimes puts other presents on the table or chairs for them. Usually he wraps them and just puts their name in big thick black pen on it. He always uses the same wrapping paper for all his presents for that year. It might change the next year though but each year he always wraps EVERY present the same. Santa also always makes sure he brings something for all the kids to share like a board game or something.\u00a0 We also put out either milk or a beer and cookies or fudge for Santa and a carrot for Rudolph. Santa usually munches on the food and drinks most of the drink. Rudolph is always mess with his eating and leaves chewed up carrot all over the front porch.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <i>Jordana<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><i>\u00a0<\/i>All presents are wrapped individually under the tree and cookies and a beer left over night, my son was 2.5 last Xmas and that&#8217;s what we did. He uses special wrapping paper. Daddy and I buy the big gifts and Santa gives lots of little ones. Last year Santa got left a can of Bundi and some carrot for his reindeer. The reindeer left sparkly magical footprints outside where they landed and they were messy eaters and left carrot pieces.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <i>Melissa<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><i>\u00a0<\/i>Santa presents are in the lounge unwrapped so if they get up early they can have a play while we get up\/ready\/coffee. Then we have a stocking which is filled with small wrapped items like bubbles, stickers etc and then some larger wrapped things from us under the tree. We leave out Carrots and a bucket of water on the front path for the reindeer and Cookies and a nip of Scotch (Santa&#8217;s favourite i hear!) for the Big Man. In the morning the water bucket is always empty, the carrots are just stumps and all that is left of Santa&#8217;s snack is some crumbs and an empty glass. I assume Santa and his friends enjoyed it as much as my girls do.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <i>Katie<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><i>\u00a0<\/i>Santa sacks put under the tree Christmas Eve for Santa to fill up once the kids have gone to sleep. All the presents inside wrapped. Santa brings all mum and dad give none but master 5 knows Santa rings mum and dad and asks what we would like to give him and asks us to tell him if he has been good or bad! Depending on size and what the present is. I do a little from Santa and lots from mummy and daddy but Santa always gets them one big present mummy and daddy lots of big presents. This yr they are getting a joint painting and black board white board present that will be unwrapped with a message from mummy and daddy lots of luck to their daddy putting it together Xmas eve there is 1000s of pieces so. As we keep it about Jesus being born. However, the kids still get a sack with surprise gifts at the ends of their beds and they are allowed to open them first thing. No waiting! All wrapped too! Then we open presents together, one at a time around the tree. Daddy has the honour of handing them out and we all make sure that each person is thanked and hugged for the gifts. We have five kids, so they give each other a gift, one each from us parents and usually a shared gift or two. That means that they all have about 7 gifts each. We encourage personal or handmade gifts a lot too.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <i>Rebekah<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><i>\u00a0<\/i>I wrap because its not Xmas without unwrapping. I have a stocking for Santa to put presents in and outs on their own. We do stockings for all 4 kids cause where else do you put all the tasty treats. I get a friend to write a little message from Santa in a Xmas card and attach to present and Santa present gets wrapped at a wrapping booth, with special paper and a giant bow. Stocking fillers can include but are not limited to- video games, clothes, shoes, wind up toys, jewellery, books, bouncy balls, toy cars, DVDs, candy canes&#8230; Just bit and pieces that can fit into a stocking!!!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <i>Alison<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><i>\u00a0<\/i>My daughter &#8216;writes&#8217; a letter to Santa and asks for something she particularly wants, and he generally delivers that (in some way, shape or form, she&#8217;s asked for some vague and\/or obscure things so its a surprise as to how he will interpret the request at times lol)&#8217; plus a few chocolates, board game and a couple of other bits and pieces. Mum and dad give a pile of lovely new books and something more practical (this year I think we are getting a nice rug for her bedroom) We haven&#8217;t wrapped presents from Santa before but think we might do some of them this year (she&#8217;ll be 4.5).\u00a0\u00a0 <i>Sarah<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><i>\u00a0<\/i>My mum went all out for us.
