I am one of those people who endures winter, waiting (impatiently) for the day the sun breaks through the dark, gloomy clouds and the garden begins to spring to life. Living by the ocean, we love spending time at the beach but getting our bodies sun kissed and sandy is no fun in the cold weather!
All your kids will see when you present this meal is a bunch of delicious meatballs for them to try. What they won’t know is that they are full of nutritious goodness with added chia seeds, quinoa, and veggies. You can melt some cheese on top or serve them with spaghetti and a simple tomato and herb sauce.
Pear, macadamia and quinoa muffins are something a little different and both yummy and healthy. Lovely for the whole family you can eat them as they are or warm with some yoghurt and stewed fruit. If you don’t have quinoa flour you can substitute it for wholemeal (or white) flour.
These little veggie and quinoa balls are crisp on the outside and soft and gooey in the center, the perfect baby finger food or a healthy family snack. Quinoa is a fabulous first food for your baby as it is full of fibre, iron and calcium – key components for a healthy baby’s nutrition.
