Had the pleasure of testing out some fabulous pieces of maternity clothing from Urban Mumma earlier this week and I have to say second time around I haven’t felt as ‘beautiful’ as I did the first time I was pregnant (5 years ago now). In saying that, I went to a wedding over the weekend and wore their Urban Mumma night dress piece and it was not only comfortable (as it’s actually designed to be a night dress) but it looked great as well, the fabric was incredibly soft but not clingy like most super soft fabrics can be.
The other piece I have tried (and not only secretly fallen in love with, but will be purchasing a few more) is their crossover top. I am a mum of a 4 year old kindy girl as well as a full time nursing student so to say I’m busy, is a little of an understatement and lately I’ve been finding it difficult to get comfortable in lectures or sitting in the teeny tiny kindy chairs, but this top with my maternity pants is just divine!
I’m not breastfeeding yet but looking at both pieces the clips on the dress are super easy to open and close single handidly & the top has a wrap over top so when breastfeeding I won’t feel as exposed as some other breastfeeding tops.
I will not only be recommending Urban Mumma to my other expecting mummy friends, it’s safe to say they can expect some of these items in their baby shower gifts (you’re welcome girls!).
The prices are more than reasonable for maternity wear & compared to pricing in some retail shops I’ve been to of late, I’ll definitely be sending people their way before the shopping strips J and the sizing was spot on, I looked at my normal size clothes and the items sent fit like a glove, no weird sizing only to result in disappointment once received. Communication between the owners Ria & Sonya was above and beyond.
I could not be happier with my review of these products & I urge any expecting mum to try these clothes, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
