Seaworld is a fantastic day out for the family

If you’re looking for a fun day out for the family when you’re in Queensland, a trip to Seaworld is guaranteed fun.

Seaworld

The animals

The marine life at Seaworld will delight the family with everything from Polar Bears to dolphins and seals. Each of the animals has its own precinct in the park dedicated to learning and exploring more about that species.

At Shark Bay, you can see reef sharks swimming around with other large reef fish and stingrays. You can see them from the bridges and viewing decks from above, or opt to pay a little extra and take a glass bottom boat tour of Shark Bay. Otherwise you can also go below the decks to see them swimming in the aquarium below.

The dolphins have their own area where there are a couple of live shows and even experiences where you can swim with the dolphins.

You will also see seals, turtles, marine birds, penguins, tropical fish, stingrays and jellyfish at Seaworld.

Seaworld

The precincts

Besides the animals, there is lots of fun to be had at Seaworld. Visit Nickelodeon Land with the kids for lots of Nickelodeon themed rides including a SpongeBob coaster and a Dora and Boots banana ride.

In Castaway Bay, the kids can get wet in the water play area so bring swimmers and a towel! There is also a Sky Climb zone for older kids who like high ropes courses, or a treehouse adventure – but be warned, it is huge and can be hard to get the kids out when you’re ready to leave.

Seaworld

Live shows

There are lots of live shows and talks to attend at Seaworld including a jet ski adventure in the epic entryway of Seaworld with jumps and giant sea life to excite the crowds. You can also learn lots about animals such as Penguins at the penguin feeding talks.

The Seal Guardians presentation teaches the whole family how our recycling habits can save our marine life, and the crowd will be wowed by the beautiful relationship between dolphins and humans at the Affinity Dolphin presentation.

What else is at Seaworld

Be sure to catch the Monorail for a scenic trip around the park, and be sure to keep an eye out for your favourite characters who will venture out for meet and greets with the kids.

Seaworld is at Seaworld Drive, Main Beach Queensland, approximately 10 minutes from Surfers Paradise.
