If you called it a supermarket sweep you wouldn’t be lying. With an enormous haul of beyond ridiculously cheap bargains one mum has revealed the secret to how she scored epic specials again and again!
(Spoiler alert: It’s about the right and best time to shop!)
Just this week Coles shopper, mum-of-five Mish, has shared her epic markdown winnings – and answered the one question all supermarket bargain hunters want to know. How!?
Posting on a popular Facebook group, the savvy shopper revealed how she picked up a trolley worth of reduced buys from her local Coles store for as low as 10 cents an item.

What was in her Coles shopping haul?
The reduced items included ham off the bone reduced to just 32 cents, 2L cartons of milk down to a 20 cents and a 500g tub of Greek yoghurt for an unbelievable 10 cents.
The mums couldn’t believe their eyes and many questioned why they never saw specials like this in their own local Coles. But she’s not just a bargain hunter, she’s also a team-player, so Mish stepped up to the proverbial plate and revealed her shopping secrets!

Timing is everything – the best time to shop!
Mish shared that the key to scoring the very best bargains was all in the timing.
“Around 6pm at my local,” she said on the Markdown Addicts Australia page.
It’s apparently that easy – and literally a case of being in the right place at the right time!
Other members of the group suggested that markdowns usually happen just before closing time, others say that late afternoon and early evening is a common time. However we’re backing Mish, with a trolley full of bargains, the evidence more than speaks for itself!
