Back to Work: One mum’s tale
“I recently returned to work, two days a week, after having my son almost 18 months ago. My return to work has been everything I expected it to be, and nothing like I expected it to be…”
{RECIPE} Zucchini, Pea, Cheese and Ham Muffins
As with many of my recipes, I had an assortment of various items left in the fridge that I wanted to use, and thought that a nice ham and vegie muffin would be something my son would enjoy (which he did!).
Old before our time
I have recently discovered that the vast majority of my mummy friends and I are part of an oddly named club; one that suggests blue-rinsed hair-dos, zimmerframes, and dentures placed in glasses of water next to our beds at night…
Pear and Honey Muffins
I had some ripe pears in the fruit basket, more and more often my son is wanting to eat his food using his own hands, and I had a craving (non-pregnancy related!) for a sweet desert that the adults in the house could drizzle with vanilla icecream. The muffins were quite moist and my son loved them. I think he feels like a big boy eating them on his own. The addition of honey is up to you and so, I have suggested adding it at the end of the recipe if you so wish.
{RECIPE} Prune and Pear Slice
This recipe came to mind for no greater reason that I had some very ripe pears that I wanted to use. At the same time, my little boy was a little ‘blocked up’ and I wanted to make something with prunes. Pear and prune – sounded like a good idea to me! I have used a recipe for savoury slices and modified it to work for a sweet slice. My little boy loved the pear and prune slices and I will be making some more.
