I am currently 7 months pregnant when I’m 8 months I would like to prepare ‘dump bags’ or home made dinner frozen meals so when I come home from hospital my husband doesn’t have to do too much. I want him to also enjoy being with Bub (he wants to and will do all the house chores, cooking and washing but I would like to do this meal preparation to help him get started he works very very long days) can you please advise some great dinner choices for me to make other than cannelloni / Lasagne that I can store in the freezer.

Other frozen meal ideas for new mums
Cook double when you cook meals and freeze half
Invest in a slow cooker
Pre-peeling and cutting vegies and meat and store and freeze in zip lock bags ready to pull out and chuck into a slow cooker for the day for a ready made meal in the evening Hannah
You can always make the meat or sauce parts of the dish to freeze and use fresh rice pasta or veg that can be done on the day. Kathryn
Not so much meal ideas but storage. Best thing I ever learned was when making and freezing sauces for pastas and rice dishes was to freeze them in zip lock bags. Fill the bag half way the allow the air to escape and seal the bag with everything flat! You fit way more in the freezer!!! And like the image you can even part freeze and then separate portions still in the bag. Kiri
Food to avoid
Do keep in mind for your self and bubs if you are breastfeeding of garlic onion broccoli cauliflower all gassy vegs. Hahah just because everything i made and froze had garlic and onion and some of these vegies and it didn’t go down well with bubs tummy for the first 3 to 4 months. I was off garlic onion cauliflower broccoli cucumber capsicum as it gave him bad tummy cramps. Kate
