Encouraging healthy food choices with your children isn’t always easy. Coming up with new ideas to encourage your kids to eat nutritious food can be exhausting. So we have looked at some fun, simple ways to help your children eat healthy snacks.
Have a tea party
A tea party is a simple and fun way to make morning or afternoon tea fun and can be simple to prepare. Get the tea set out or some small plates and cups and invite the dolls or teddy bears along. Food ideas include
- fruit
- bliss balls
- fruit skewers – icy pole sticks are ideal for young kids
- Organix Goodies Farm Animal Biscuits
- veggie sticks and hummus
- nuts – care of choking risk
- don’t forget the water
Why would we include Organix in our list of healthy snacks for kids? What we like about Organix is their No-Junk promise. This is a stamp of reassurance that they are made with the best organic ingredients and contain nothing unnecessary, so your little one gets great tasting snacks without the junk. We have been lucky to taste test the Organix range this week and love the mild yet tasty flavours. The small bags are a perfect snack for on the go. Our tasters favourite would be the Animal Biscuits.
Make sure you take a few minutes to sit down and enjoy the tea party too. Sharing food shows your children that this is food you like too and encourages them to eat.
